Hello, I’m Lois, a 23-year-old artist passionate about storytelling and the landscape. I grew up in Shropshire, a county I am heavily influenced by. I graduated from Westminster University with a First Class BA in Film. During my time there, I focused on production design and producing. My involvement in set building and painting was the most rewarding.

My artwork focuses on the unconventional beauty of the landscape and rural architecture in everyday life, seeking the extraordinary in the ordinary. I primarily use oil and gouache paint to emphasise structure, shape, and shadow, highlighting our surroundings' strength and importance. My work is a testament to simple rural life, which I aim to immortalise. One of my central goals is to humanise the structures in my paintings, viewing trees and architecture as diverse and complex characters.

I am proud to have received the Cass Art Solo Exhibition Prize in 2023 after my work was exhibited at the Bankside Gallery with the Royal Watercolour Society Open 2023.
